New to forum: I have a 1996 4x4 with 2.7. Bought it with spun main bearing so I purchased a 1996 JDM 2.7 with distributor. Problem- I installed motor and cranks but shuts off after about three to four seconds. Appears to have fuel pressure. Noticed that the JDM motor has cam sensor in head but US version(mine) did not. No hook up in harness. All other sensors on the JDM motor are same with wire color and connectors. My thought is maybe that distributors are different. I left the JDM distributor in engine as it has same part number as my original but does anyone know if I should be using my distributor as maybe it has cam timing sensor in it as the JDM had sensor in head, which I am not using.

Vehicle has been sitting for two years. If not distributor does anyone else have clue as to problem, maybe MAF Sensor?
