    yeah, the temp in my sig is taken at a local garden. its 112* right now at my house, but supposed to cool down to 105* or so the next few days.

    For you guys running synthetic oil... how often do you change your oil? Do you go on miles or time - say 6 months? Do you change your filter half way through?

    Read through a couple of threads and got mixed answers....

    I go between 3000 and 5000 miles, regardless of time. OEM filter.

    Yeah, I just looked at a weather sticker for my location, and its at 112.4* right now. I would use it, but it looks different than the one Im using.........and I kinda like thinking its cooler than it is.,

    Even if it took 9 mos or a year to go those miles?

    I put most of my miles on during my trip to AZ... just curious what the change should be - dino oil is 5K or 6 mos..... :eek:

    Yeah, the sun is right on top of your head. This morngin, it was 97* at 8:30 AM. My truck showed 132* after being parked in the sun. Not sure what the temp of the body was....maybe I'll check it tomarrow.

    You mentioned the sun... when we came back on our leave from England and went to Yuma, I had to wear sunglasses and use a visor when outside. The sun was so much brighter than I was used to being in England and the Netherlands. It really hurt my eyes.

    Every 5K miles. I use a K&N filter because of the attached 1" nut to make the filter easy to remove. The oil filter placement on the 2.7L engine is up in there.
