Nothing right now, got turned down for 2 more this week. I'm starting to think about spending the winter in Florida again this year. If I haven't found something by around October I'm going to start looking in Florida for a winter job.

 

Yup the phone is activated. I have almost 10 hours into the activation and billing aspects of the phone. Took 3 calls to get a rebate certificate for a $50 Visa Gift Card. Also took another call to have the insurance option activated for the phone. My son is really hard on electronic devices.

 

See, too much time in the sand pit myself (desert) to remember what it's called on a course.

I want that food up there. And I also need to get a smoker. May be a while until that comes. Plus I can't really cook anything major for another month or so. Erica can only stomach certain foods right now

 

Just got back from the SPCA adoption event. So many good animals that need homes.

 

Makes me want to post that video of he chick that loves cats...

But honestly... Rescue is the way to go - that's how we got ours.

 

We are on our fourth rescue, not including the two fosters we had this year. We have a meeting with this guy tomorrow, Dingo.

But I thought you guys were all about the bulldogs?

 

We love our bullies, but we are looking for something a little smaller. Cindy wants a Pug or a French Bulldog, but Pugs are too small and I said no French in the house. Dingo is slightly smaller than Bella and he seems like a really nice, laid back kinda guy.

 

The last couple racks I did were ok but I didn't have any apple juice for the last hour of cooking so I used cola, and they were not as moist or tasty. I also cooked them direct which you can tell from the one half rack. I now have the plate setter for the egg so next time I can do cook indirect.

Hey round2, how did you make the jalapeno's? I need a new recipe for mine and those look amazing. Have never added shrimp to them.

 

They do look good

 

I used the biggest peppers I could find and used an apple corer to gut em.
First dozen were stuffed with prosciutto and cream cheese. The 2nd dozen were stuffed with whole milk Mozzarella and baby shrimp, I sometimes use lump Maryland blue crab. I cook them low and slow around 250-265 for 2 hours. I also burn some wild cherry wood for flavor.
