Not a bad idea. Kids are expensive and aren't getting cheaper.

 

Free daycare

 

My coworkers were talking about day care at work the other day. For a sketchy ass daycare for a single kid, it's about $1000 a month. For a good/decent daycare they said they look at paying $1200-1500 a month. I can't justify making a mortgage payment a month to someone to 'watch' my child and there's no way I would let my wife stay home (also she said she couldn't stay home every day)

 

daycare is fucking ridiculous. We are looking at using our mothers since they are both retired.

 

I would rather send them to the women that had the 3 yo fight club daycare then let my MIL any where near them......

 

my mother and my MIL are both great.

Grandma's and Granddad's are the best daycare around.

 

Lucky... all of our parents are still working. Although, when I told my parents, it was the first time I had heard my mom talk about retirement. :crossesfingers:

I cannot believe anyone would want to install a stock Tacoma speaker. They are terrible and very cheaply made.

An investment in a $50 pair of Pioneers are a decent upgrade to stock. LOL

 

I think we are going to use the grandmas for the first 18 mo. to 2 years and then put them in daycare for the socialization.

when you were telling people about your wife being pregnant, did you have any that just went nuts?

Jodi's aunt just went fucking nuts. I thought we were going to have to peal her off the ceiling.

 

Alison's (my wife) sister apparently screeched in her ear over the phone when she told her. Other than that, not too crazy.

 

I was really surprised at how calm my mom and MIL were. I expected a little crazy since we've been married for 7 years and just now are having our first child (wife has one from before me who is 13)
