    I usually use the heavy duty cycle to wash most of my stuff and it doesn't look like that when it comes out :eek:


    What brand do you have? I'm looking to get one when my top loader dies....


    They wash your clothes better and your clothes last longer. Plus you use less soap. But to each their own...

    its a whirlpool, not sure the exact model number. if you are really lookin into getting one search with consumer reports. they always test the best washers and all that and tell you what is best for your needs. thats what i did :)

    Yeah, I don't like that either... you just gotta make sure you get everything in the first time :p

    We had one when we were in the Netherlands and it took a little getting used to, but the clothes were cleaner, drying time was less (more water spun out), used less soap. Even got used to the can't open during the cycle.

    Some of the newer ones, have a pause button, or something, so the door can be opened.

    Yeah...My Mom and Dad recently got a Bosch unit and they love it. Nice and quiet. Seems to work really good to.

    Why do you want a top loader? They use more water and electric than the front loaders do...

    actually many companies are making top loaders that work just like front loaders. they are energy star efficient and everything. i want a top loader because of the agitator in the middle, i think it helps get out heavily-soiled loads better than front loaders.

    i work in a power plant and i get pretty dirty at work. i have to wash my clothes sometimes with the front loader. my old top loader needed just one cycle to get them clean.

    I'm trying to get away from the agitator.... when washing sheets, it seems like they don't cycle through the machine but one time, because they just bubble up...

    yeah those and towels tend to do that. i want to say that they make top loaders where you can take the agitator out...who knows, ill prob just buy a cheap top loader for work clothes and have a front loader for regular laundry, there problem solved
