    Mine was torn and my knee would lock up if I squatted. I had to press on it a little to "pop" it back. I swear I could hear it. It was at that point I knew it was time to have it fixed.

    I remember the doc saying it was a "bucket tear" or something like that. It works like new now.

    I hate knee problems. I have been milking mine for a while now. Hyper extended both of them a lot. Hurdles, hyper flexed one of them, football, wrestling etc...

    I am expecting surgery in the next 5 years due to our new PT test requirements.

    Thanks Andrew. Ya I can hear it pop now when I get the weird rubber band snap sensation.

    Depending on what surgery I get I'm looking at 1-1.5 week recovery or 4 weeks of no weight bearing :goingcrazy:

    Mine have just been abused with tons of cold weather cycling, hiking, climbing, snowboarding, and general misuse. I pretty much always use trekking poles when adventuring nowadays.

    My recovery was about that - I remember a few days of relaxing, then a couple more weeks until the swelling was gone. There were 3 little holes left when it was all done.
