    Dude! Adam, just got home, awesome lookin baby there Dad! Didn't read back thru the thread so I trust everything went well?

    You gots yerself a son! Being a Dad is an honor, not just a title. It is earned and kept. For me to say "I'm a Dad", means I have cared and nurtured my child into being an outstanding adult. It is something I am very proud of and always will be. My son Jacob is my single greatest accomplishment on this earth. It will fundamentally change your identity, it transforms you into something new. Nothing can be related beforehand which would fully inform you as to what this means. It bonds you and your wife more than a marriage can. This child will open your eyes to a whole new world of joys and (sometimes), tribulations, but in the end, it was worth every effort. Hands down the best job I ever undertook. Savor these times Adam, take many pictures, make as much time as you can with your child as I can tell you, the time will go by fast. From the day I cut his cord to getting calls from him at college needing money, a mere blink of an eye, too soon I say, seems to have gone by too fast. So savor, and enjoy these times as they will be the best of you and your wife's lives.
    It is the miracle of life, watching a baby drink in the world around them, as they get older, the endless questions about their world, and your word is gospel to him, you and Mom are his world. He will learn from you two and you will learn more about yourselves as well. About how he is greater than the sum of (your), parts, how in your image and mannerisms , this miniature version of you will grow to tackle the world some day. As his father you will conjure all the tidbits of wisdom your parents bestowed upon you and even if you didn't heed them all, you will recall them and re-use them anew with your son. It's up to you and no one else to teach him to be a man, teach him to be a great man Adam, help him become better than you, as the wish it is of every parent that their offspring have better success than they did.

    Congratulations to you and your wife!

    :headbang::cheers::yay:

    I spun my truck off the road on a patch of ice on the way home from work. Local cop was right behind me, he was very cool and helped me get on my way, no hassles. I appreciated it. I kind of dug up some guys front yard getting myself unstuck.:eek:

    Yeah, I do believe I said a few bad words. I took the truck to Providence this morning, 60 mile round trip, no problems. I couldn't find any body damage either, so all's well. Well, except my tooth. I've been awake all night with a toothache, just got off the phone with the dentist, I go in at 11:30 to see what's going on. Going to be a long night at work tonight.
