Because the code changes... And I would rather have peace of mind in case something changed. Also, first year Erica and I filed jointly

Turbo tax does but it cost $30 more than TaxAct.

Ah. Yes. Understood. Good thing you aren't also a farmer subleasing his land to a church. Or something.

When I was self-employed, it sucked ass. I spent hours maintaining and pulling together records just so could turn them over to a professional preparer. Thank god those days are over. If there is one thing that will make you demand simplification of the tax code, it is self-employment.

X2....for single guy with a house and that's it I'm done in 20 minutes. I did mine in mid January before they could even be submitted the 30th. Had my cash and had it spent before most got their 1040's from work :(

Add on top of that my financial adviser sold a bunch of my mutual funds and brought be just back to 2 altogether. It confused the guy thinking he had to add every single long and short term in individually. He got 1/3rd of the way through 20 of them and was told he could just put in 1 for long term sales and 1 for short term sales.

Then Erica is still a KS resident so we had to fix THAT. I wanted to file federal joint but state single. I know people who do it, but he wouldn't appease me and try it out.........

But we just made up for it at a little Italian/Mediterranean place by the house. I know the owner and he hooked us up with free chicken hummus and a 2 beers for me.

The boys are doing very well with Corbin. Simon has been a very curious puppy.

I have one or two. But one is a buddies company and it wouldn't let me buy more since it is considered a penny stock. He is a friend of mine and owns wells up and down the midwest from TX to ND and even some in MT. It's fluxed from .10 to .25 since I have had it.

Adam. It goes well. Finished the taxes... we are getting over 3500 back. Majority of it will go to the house.
