Because of my work crazy unit start up, I had to cancel my tattoo appointment, rescheduled for end of August.

 

I've been wanting to get mine done for awhile now just can't decide on a design I want

 

Not now. Took a 30 min nap then watched Caddy Shack and Fletch with the family.

Off to the gym in a few minutes then a date with a chainsaw.

Confirmed that the paver walkway install starts on Monday.

 

You having someone else do the pavers?

 

Yes I am. I know my limitations. This is the front of the house and I want it to look good. I did some work in front of one of my sheds a few years back and it is starting to have a few waves in it. Not enough to redo the work but enough to know that for this project I need a professional to do the work.

I would like to be a gopher on about 10 to 20 jobs for a company to learn the basics on installing pavers but at 63 YO there are no companies that would take me on just to learn.

They key to a good installation is compaction, lots of it, compacting the surface prior to install and then 'sanding' the pavers and running the compactor over it again, that's what prevents the 'waves'.

 

I lacked the first step. I had too much C5 aggregate and not enough sand. In hindsight I either needed to use less C5 or excavate deeper before adding the C5.

It was a spur of the moment decision but I should have done more research. It is my own fault.

So the guy who I'm in the dispute for parts with over paypal decided to respond to them by giving them a UPS tracking #. I looked it up, it's for some 50 Pound package that was shipped yesterday, 4 weeks after he said it was shipped.

Then asked for the dispute to be closed again saying my parts are on the way. I said I'm not closing anything till I see whats inside this box.

 

Other forum members have claimed that he sent them empty boxes sometimes, other times boxes filled with random shit.

If he actually did send the parts, I will be extraordinarely amazed.
