You guys aren't very talkative today.. but I was wondering if you guys could help me. I'm looking for internships in NYC and I might have one but I'd like a few backup plans. So while looking I found an internship program. You pay a "tuition" type fee and in return they set you up with a place to live, meals, amd transportation to your internship and 100% guarantee of an internship in the destination of your choosing (from their list) in this case being NYC.

Anyone ever heard of this or work at a job that does this? Any opinions on it? Thanks.

Look up some info on the company. You having to pay them and not having the internship directly with them seems kinda like a scam to me.

Whats your major again? Does your advising office have any type of job board or anything posted in it?

I will have to go talk to them and its business management. The internships are not with the company they are with companies such as Merrill Lynch, Ameriprise, Northwestern Mutual, etc.

Tim's right... I'd do some research on the company you will be paying... See if you can find any feedback on them.

I started looking at it and its a little too much.. they want $8500 up front and its only a 12 week internship.

Given it's NYC, food, transportation, and housing isn't cheap. Still seems crazy for 3 months though.

What kind of stuff are you looking to do specifically? Might just try going on indeed and careerbuilder and searching for an internship in NYC that way.
