No. Keep looking at the ratings and can't find one that looks good

 

I recommended one of those toro self paced ones to my mom but when she looked up the ratings, she said they didn't sound good at all

 

I want one without the drive on them... just something else to break. I need one with a big motor... the one I have is a 6.5 hp and it even boggs down in the back yard. Most of the mowers I've seen have small motors....

Might just go get one of the reel mowers...

 

I don't recommend Ariens mowers from hd. Hd doesn't carry any replacements parts, air filters, belts, nothing at all for the models they sell (up here anyways, not sure how it is there). I had to go on a goose chase to find an air filter for my moms, and order a replacement belt from the us for it.

Only complaint I have is it gets squeaky so I have to lube it pretty much every time I use. Just a quick shot of lube at the shaft ends.

 

I'd definitely get my exercise using that one....

wonder if I could put the motor I have now on a new base....

 

Not sure. Could always call a small engine repair shop and see what they say

I just picked a mower up. TroyBilt 210. Self propelled with a 21" deck with a 190cc B&S engine. We shall see how it cuts tomorrow.

I was looking at the TB 160 at lowes. it had a honda motor and not sure how they are. Always had a B&S engine and they have usually lasted a while.

Talked trucks, looked for a lawn mower and watched a DB come within 4" of backing into my truck. Thank goodness for a curb that stopped him.

 

I'll let you know how it works tomorrow. I don't have a huge lawn here, but I am kind of prepping for going back to the midwest in a few years with this one. Or, I will pick up a riding one when I head back that way.

It's nice. Even has a deck wash port. You hook the hose up to the top of it, and turn on the mower. It washes the bottom of the mower out without tipping it over.

 

Thanks. I like the idea of the wash out port. Just hope what ever i end up getting, lasts as long as the one it's replacing
