    Actually, she calls me Master.
I think I can just barely make out some non-ice. Very pretty...there is a forecast for snow in a couple days where we just were. We wish we could have stayed for the show.

Yes, it was awesome, hit it all at the peak of color, and the trailer was great. It was our first shakedown run. F'ing cold. Our first night in Lundy Canyon was in the low 20s if not high teens. Had some frozen condensation on the inside door handles, but the wool blanket plus down comforter and lighweight thermal underoos kept us toasty. That is probabaly as cold as we'll ever go, colder than snow.

Sounds like a great shakedown trip. The pics of the trailer look like it is compact and very functional.

    Adam:
Picked up the white oak yesterday. Cut the boards to 4 foot and drilled them out today. Also did a test fit mock up to make sure I have the boards where I want them. I should have some time tomorrow afternoon to begin the sanding process and rounding the edge on 2 of the boards. Stain is due to be delivered tomorrow as well.

Do those trailers have an option to be heated?
Glad you had a good time. I was surprised at how many of the trees around here have not changed at all yet - most of the leafy trees were still green or just showing a little bit of yellowing. if there were any leaves on the ground it was because the snow ripped them (and the branches) off of the trees!

Iron work is finished on this bench. Wood is placed in bench with nuts just hand tightened to hold wood in place.

    DSC_0064_zpsffbac628_ac84f60d95ffdd64baf3ce4b690a0489d13b5ff8.jpg

I think I will need to turn 2 pieces of the wood over to place the top on the bottom and out of sight.

Also took time today to spray a coat of Rustoleum primer on to the iron. This bench was in a lot worse shape than the first bench.

Hey, Tom, yes it was. I wasn't able to respond to my TWLive posts on the road, because we were often out of cell coverage.
The 7 ga water tank was more than enough for 2 people for five days, probably could have gone 6 days. We didn't get curtains intalled, but it is clear now that we need them, especially if the govt shuts down camp sites and you have to stay in a crowded RV resort for one night .
No idea how much propane we used, because I don't have a meter on it yet, but sure we barely dented it.
Other than that, we need to find a better garbage pail to fit behind the water tank when it is upright stowed for travel.
And we are probably will be going back and have the roof vent/fan installed (he already ran wires for it). We thought we could manage by just cracking the side windows, but we need better ventilaiton than that, especially when hitting freezing or below.

Tows like a dream, no problems getting through narrow wooded trails and turning/backing into tight wooded camp sites. Seven passes each way, each ranging 7,000 to 8,500 elevation. Could hang in 4th at 2500 rpm on most steep freeway grades, but on a few sections of the steepest grades (like 8%), I had to drop into 3rd a few times.

Yes, with propane, and they'll customize them to order with whatever you want.

There have been 2 years of drought down here, and a few of the lakes (reservoirs) were virtually empty in Bishop. As a result (I think), we saw more shades of more colors at more places and altitudes than we ever have before. It was unusual, but wonderful. Some spots had turned and then had a freeze, turning yellow leaves black. Some areas that peaked early had blows out, and right next to them were green stands. Crazy. Usually, it is much more predictable in terms of elevation (and temp) as a key condition.
