    nope... I was an air traffic controller...

    I got out during the war... there was a big push for more UAV pilots... I just happened to be ATC at the training center for Army UAV pilots. The contractor at the UAV schoolhouse was hiring ANYBODY with Army Aviation experience to train UAV pilots... that's how I got my foot in the door... haven't looked back since.. :laugh:

    My buddy joined the Army at just under the maximum age. With his college degree he could have chosen almost any job, so he decided he wanted to blow stuff up. Ended up commanding a Stryker in Iraq. I believe he is working roofing now.

    I think his plan was to ride it out until retirement, I think his wife got sick and he was deployed for a really long time. Good man for doing it.
    I kinda wish i had enlisted when I was younger.
