    Doing well. My knee is healed and I am back to doing cardio, finally. My broken toe does not hurt too much. The water damage to the living room is not as bad as I thought.


    My GC will be over today to assess the drywall. It looks ok to me but I am not a drywall guy. I think the access panel cover to the shut off valve save a lot of damage. The burst valve was spraying the plastic cover and the cover had a lip that prevented the water from getting into the cut portion of the drywall.


    The carpet company is out on Thursday to install the portion of the padding I ripped out. install new tack strips, and reattach the carpet.


    If all of this comes to pass there will be a big difference between the check the insurance company issues and the cost of the repair. I told my wife to think about giving a donation to her school.

    The school principal will know what to do with the money. The county I live in has poor schools overall. There are some bright spots in our school system though.
