no 'bou and no 'but for you this year?!?! you're really striking out!

Tomorrow the weather is good so I'm going to try to make the most of it and just hope for the best the other 2 days.
Summer is gone too fast! Maybe its because I'm so much busier/ more active than in the winter

I'm really enjoying the new change of scenery. Got a cold starting that's making it rough waking up in the morning though lol

    How you doing?

    I'm well.

    Really happy for you. :)

Pump some vitamin C and get some rest. Hope you slip past the cold.

I should be trying to get a before work nap in.

    Take care Brandan.

Oh BTW, I saw a post from Mike (Delmarva) today in a supercharger thread. Dropped him a PM, but he hasn't replied.

Good Morning Garage. I missed you all. Some of you remember I was hit broadsided in the drivers door of my Tacoma by a loaded school bus that blew a stop sign.
I broke my neck, split sternum, nose, lost hearing in left ear, much vision in my left eye and my balance and cognitive skills were wrecked due to brain swelling and blood loss.

Always somewhat of a tough guy I was not smart enough to know that I needed help. I was at the top of my life game my son was graduating from West Point, My oldest daughter graduating from the University and my youngest heading into college. I was making an incredible annual salary and living a dream....Than in a split second....BOOM.
Emotionally taxed and physically broken, It was a nightmare.
I tried to hang on here as long as I could but quickly found I was fooling myself. My Neurosurgeon tried to talk me into full time rehab but, I was not doing it...until one day I had a breakdown.
I was scared as the drunkin spins would not go away. When I laid down, got up, random, switched direction, looked up or down.
For some reason Cheryl (Doc) really cared for me and fast tracked me into the program t St Al's Stars Program, specializing in brain injury/stroke rehab. I was initially to spend a month there but it ended up to be over 2 years of vision, physical, cognitive, speech and mental help. I lived there full time and I was reluctant and was mad for the first 3-4 months. It was depressing as I realized how F up I was.
One day I just lost it, after my therapists and Doc's met with me and for the first time I heard "Chris, you will never be the same as you were, this is the new you". It took me a month for that to sink in. From then on I worked harder than anyone they have seen just to prove them wrong. I spent 8-9 hours a day with brain breaks on a balance machine, taking tests, working on strength, walking lines, speaking, metronome training, reading out loud and relearning life skills.
The story goes on and on with many highs and lows but, the end result is that I owe them my life. Incredible staff that became close friends for a lifetime.
The last I will say is, for some reason that day I put on my seatbelt. I remember nothing of the accident or the day but, was told after the door was cut off, my seatbelt got in the way of a clean extraction. If I had not put it on there is no question I would of been buried within a few days.

When I left TW I was hiding, from myself. I was buying parts for a new truck(BAMF, ALLPRO and Relentless armor) and was not medically cleared to drive. In fact, I have recently just started to drive.

Yesterday I picked up my 2015 MGM Tacoma TRD dcsb :). Next Fri it is scheduled to be at CBI for at least a week for a ground up build and am stoked. Nathan has been a stud to work with.

I wanted to say a hearty Hello, that I missed this fantastic thread and I was hoping my membership card had not expired here.

If it helps, I will say(Don't tell her) that Weesa has a heart....swear. She is a special girl :).

    Missed you peepols.
