    I am the exception and like big cities. Lots to do and a lot of great places to eat. Traffic on the highways suck but traffic can suck in small town America too. Just not as much or as often. I basically live in a city that starts just north of Boston and ends at Richmond.

    I agree on LA Damn city starts 100 miles east of the ocean.

    It isn't so much a problem of size as it is of layout. I live in a college town that doubles whenever classes are in. Traffic is fine during the summer, but during the spring and fall it sucks because the layout is designed for 20,000 people not 40,000.

    30 minutes in any direction and I'm in the mountains here! I can see 5 mountain ranges from my place...

    Mom's doing good, thanks for thinking of her. The Doc said yesterday that he's happy with where she's at right now. Check up in another 3 weeks and she'll probably be clear to roam the house without a walker or crutches by then. Maybe keep them handy for any outside excursions as a slip or fall would be really not good.

    you hush! it was only 20 something here. i have the shadow of Runner frozen into my driveway. apparently the only time it got warm enough to melt the ice today was when i was parked at lunch...anything that he cast a shadow on stayed frozen!

    Doing good, staying home I think. Roads were awful icy today. Lots of accidents and slide offs across the state. One of our drivers from work included, happened late so I didn't hear the full damage report.

    I'm thinking this may be a good weekend to stay home and bake some cookies... :hungry:
