    Doing alright. I'm at Travis. I work a desk still, and I am actually miserable. I got put as a swing shift section chief, and pretty much been shit on since I got here. KC-10s have the worst "Good Old Boy" club I have ever seen in maintenance.

    I honestly do maybe an hour of work a night.

    Its an OK area. To find anywhere we could afford to live we ended up 40 minutes away from base. Decent commute which is killing any savings I have from living this far away, lol. But, the city had the private school we wanted for the boys. Family is getting along so far. Wife is waiting on CA to issue her RN license... which takes forever and costs an arm and leg (3rd states she's licensed to work too...). Can't wait until we have a second income again. Its expensive here (well, due to my circumstance it is... and not talking of driving).

    And I get to retire in Sep 2022. Thats part of the reason I got shit on. I told the Chief my true intentions. Guess they don't want the truth?

    It's Bruce 3/4" Hardwood flooring. 5" wide Mocha scraped Oak Plank. just under $6 per sq. ft. I'm almost $3k into that floor. :goingcrazy:

    i didn't buy any this year....laying low and hanging out with no lights on :anonymous:

    it was -15* a couple days ago so I didn't figure too many kids would be out anyways. i was right. only two kids that i've heard so far.

    well you don't HAVE to...

    its kind of hit or miss in my hood - sometimes there's a ton of kids, sometimes none. I just figured with the weather this week I wouldn't see many and I didn't want the surplus candy hanging around.
    I have good memories of trick or treating with dad as a kid and I know that its a dying tradition so I usually go all out. Just not feeling it this year though.

    Got me a new job for 6-7 months though. I'll be working up the Group at the CAG (commanders action group). So I am basically CSS with a cool duty title. I don't mind though, I get out of my squadron and get to do stuff face-to-face with the GP/CC.

    We just got off of generator power about 30 minutes ago. Power went out around midnight due to a lightning strike on a transformer combined with multiple fallen trees.
