    Never done it before and need to find some I really like. Saw some, but it's $8000 for my house.... Wouldn't get any $ back when I sell, so need to find something a little more affordable. Yeah, I'll need a vapor barrier.

    Tile is all about planning ahead. Got to have a plan if walls are out of square, be precise on your cuts, etc. Its challenging but fun

    I am.... not sure I want to have to deal with sanding and staining. Will depend if I can find what I want.

    I did unfinished wood and finished it for under $3 /sq ft. Labor was free. It is a lot of work.

    Tile, color all the way through or porcelain in the hi dog traffic parts of the house. What is called wood floors is not real wood anymore.. real wood real hi $$$$$

    :cool: I know the feeling :rolleyes:..I love some of the ??'s from my homeowner friends ..

    X2 on the porcelain tile. We are installing it for the flooring in the new kitchen, laundry room, and powder room. All three rooms have water and did not want to do wood. That is one reason the other would be too much wood in the kitchen. When you look at the floor and cabinets the wood just made it seem to be too much. I like the contrast tile will give us in the kitchen.
