so lonmg story short, we have cameras that monitor us un our railroad vehicles we use for company purposes.

Whenever we have an "incident" (bumps, sharp turns, accidents, etc.) it triggers the camera and records 30 seconds of footage. on 11/27 I set it off turning into a parking lot to use my cell phone (coincidentally to answer a text from Chad). I caught the edge of the curb in the truck and it acutated the camera filming me pull into an Autozone parking lot.

After all this time, they finally decided they wanted to suspend me for "personal use", yet the footage does not show me ever getting out of the vehicle! I never did even put the truck in park when I entered the parking lot, and if they pulled my GPS record they could determine exactly how long I remained in the parking lot. (I was only there for somewhere around 30 seconds, long enough to respond to Chad-lings text).

In the footage you can clearly see me looking down at my phone when i was about to turn into the parking lot.

I'm in the process of filing a grievence. My direct supervisor is unwilling to fairly take action on my behalf as he hates his job and could give a shit, and my regional supervisor is in some sort of training class and unable to assist me.

Per the greivence policy, I am entitled to a fair, PROMPT communication. After the regional supervisor, I am intructed per the policy to contact the division supervisor, but guess what...his numeber listed in the employee directory is non functioning.

I recontacted my regional supervisor, and she instructed me to contact another woman in HR. I just got off the phone with her, and she told me she cannont handle this, as she is not part of my chain of command.

I agree, you seem like a good kid Connor. From a guy (me) who raised 2 kids, it's very hard not to say something ,especially when your kids are 16. It's tough to let go, even when they reach 20 or 21. My kids are 29 and 27 and I find myself biting my tounge every now and then and telling myself they are adults and can make their own decisions. Have some patience with them and try to understand that they are looking out for your best interest. Hopefully one day you can sit down with them and have a real adult conversation with them and they will know where your coming from. My 29 year old son is now more of a friend than anything. Make an effort to become friends with your parents. My father was "old school" and we never really had a chance to see eye to eye. Now it's too late. ( I hope this is making sense, I have a migraine and took some strong meds.:D)
