The proposal would allow sales of beer in convenience and grocery stores. In addition, the proposal would allow distributors to sell six packs and maintain the current number of existing licenses. In addition, Senator Rafferty’s bill will go a long way toward reducing the number of underage beer sales by requiring steps such as the use of an Electronic Age Verification device by all retailers. Since recent checks have shown that 40 percent of distributors participate in underage sales, this will go a long way toward reducing the number of underage beer sales. The reaction since Senator Rafferty’s announcement has been phenomenal and extremely positive. In short, we have the momentum![/FONT][/FONT]
