Finished the CCW class earlier today.

Apparently, I always shoot right and low.

are you anticipating the gun going bang and trying to compensate for the recoil before the shot?

try letting the gun "surprise" you as you pull the trigger

i feel like that's what i'm doing....but maybe not. i'm not really anticipating, and i tried just doing a nice, slow squeeze and still did it.

possibly, i am somehow 'pulling' the trigger right (???) if that's possible

other than that, the sights might be off (not adjustable)

i really need to shoot more to eliminate possibilities

its entirely possible that youre pulling the gun to the right with the trigger...try using just the tip (thats what she said) of your trigger finger on the trigger...also buy a snap cap or dummy round and next time you go shoot...mix it into a mag somewhere...if you flinch when you pull the trigger...youre probably flinching when the regular rounds are in the gun

i'd also take it to a gun smith to eliminate the idea of the idea of the sights being off...what kind of gun is it

i don't think i flinch (but i did flinch when the guy next to me fired a .45 and i wasn't expecting it)
but i may. i usually, if i do flinch, work that out in the first few rounds.

hmm...id still try the dummy rounds just to make sure...and getting a professional to make sure the sights arent off...

how long have you had the gun?

I'm not saying the sights are off, just a possibility. in all likelyhood, its me.

i've had the gun about 3 months and put 300 rounds through it.

i need to shoot more to assess the real problem.

being a 'noob' shooter. it could be trigger 'pull', breathing, flinching, squeezing, etc.
however, even with said issues, the qualifying was done on a 8"x11" sheet of paper and i hit the paper with every round, 1-handed and 2-handed at 5, 7, 10, and 15 yards.

Doing good. Took my fathers old golf cart out for a spin today. Batteries seem to be about done, they were new in 2003 and don't hold much of a charge anymore. The golf cart guy wanted $430.00 for new batteries, I think I'll wait until the fall to get them, no one will be here to use it after I leave next week. We tried to fix up an old fountain my mother has in the front yard. No one's been here much in the last 3 years and the fountain was in pretty bad shape. I ended up taking it apart and storing it in the garage. My project for next time I head this way...

    Sounds like a busy day....

I did my normal Saturday stuff and then went to talk to one of the guys I used to work with - his retirement ceremony was yesterday and I had to work, so thought I go say good luck... Got to stay for a party and see some of the other guys I used to work with....
