    How. High does my cb antenae need to be for optimal signal and its a 4' firestik non flexy so height will be an issue on the trails....can I mount it in the bed drain hole and get a good enougbh signal

    get you a spring for it and attach it in the bedrails. if you do slap it on the trails, the spring will keep it from breaking.

    Got a spring mount but the bedsides seem way to high as ill have 2 feet of anntenae above the truck

    thats how mines mounted burg, it works well. i put a fold down on it so when i need clearance into a car wash or somewhere i can fold it down.

    Its not hard at all. Run the antennea cable from where ever you mount the ant. along the frame, and into the cab via an un used rubber grommet. THEN, whatever happy spot in the cab you happen to mount the CB.
