Here is where I put the tank

 

The compressor is loud as hell in that little cubby you might want to put some foam weather striping in the door groove to keep the rattle of the door down. I would have used crimped connectors or press fittings instead of hose clamps. I haven't been able to find the tool to do it though. I've got some leaking connections. I need to install a pressure gauge in the cab yet. I want one of these http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.php?products_id=1260519003 with a trans temp and air press in it. Other than the air leaks I've got no complains about the system. There's enough air to change a tire.

 

Yeah I would imagine you have plenty of room under there with no spare. I was under my truck the other day trying to figure out how in the hell i could fit an aux fuel tank under there. No fucking way unless I either move the spare, get a custom center exhaust done, or a custom tank that fits up in the fender. Oh dreams.

except with a Viair 420 http://www.viaircorp.com/OffRoad/420C.html I picked it because it had the highest volume at the time. 33% duty cycle but I don't put that much stress on my OBA. If the compressor blows up I'll rebuild it or buy a better one.

 

So far almost a year and a half of trouble free use. Well except this week I had my check valve freeze up. That was my own fault for not draining the tank enough. When freezing temps hit there was too much moisture in the tank. No damage though the tank just wouldn't charge till it the temps warmed up a bit.
