    LOL...needles and dentists are on my list of not favorite things. I once gave my orthodontist a bloody nose :eek: Long story but he deserved it.

    Allergy tests? They weren't bad...the after effects (welts) were the worst part.

    @ Rex, If your just getting allergy tests done don't be too worried about er, they just give you the tiniest prick on the skin and see how the wound swells. its more itchy then anything.

    @ MTgirl, I work for the oilsands, Syncrude specifically, we run 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year.

    :laugh: You want to know why I clocked my orthodontist?

    A little background first: I had a bad experience as a kid when a dentist and two assistants held me down in the chair - it took my mom storming into the room after hearing me screaming and crying from the waiting area and pulling them off of me. Took a long time to get over that and I still freak out when I am restrained in any way. Take that plus the fact that I have had a host of stomach issues my whole life and I get ill if I lay too flat for a long period of time.

    I was at the orthdontist's office and they were working on me and then they weren't...and they left me flat out in one of the chairs for like 45 minutes. I was getting really sick and thought I was ready to throw up and started to sit up in the chair right as they returned to finish up what ever they were doing that day. He put his hand on my chest and pushed me back into the chair...I started swinging and nailed him square in the nose. I got out of the chair, caused a huge scene and stormed out of the office determined to never return. He called later that night to apologize to me for the whole incident. And I finished up the remainder of my time with braces without him laying a finger on me, there was only one assistant there that I trusted and she took care of everything for me from that point on.:cool:
