    I know blacked out tail lights are popular with a lot of car and truck people but there is a reason why they are no legal in any state. In the daytime it is harder to see when the light comes on.

    Another popular mod fom my Bonneville is clearing the amber out of the side marker lights. When you do this it also removes the diffuser which is also not legal. However for the 93 to 99 Bonnevilles there is a european clear side marker light that is legal. All you need is the amber bulb.

    Correct you are. They may not be a deep dark black but the effect is there and they are legal.

    I do have a few pet peeves. Another one is parking in a fire lane at a shopping center and leaving the car. If I see this and a police officer I insist that the officer write a ticket.

    In Maryland it is a $250 fine.

    There is a reason why there is a fire lane and it is not so you can park right next to the store you want to shop at. ;)
