I'm not sure what model it is, it's a couple of years old. It was my mothers. I like it, but I have to be careful with it. As quick as you can think of a book to read, you can have it downloaded and be reading it, but it's about 14 bucks a book. If you read a lot it adds up pretty quick. I've noticed some magazines are starting to put the first few pages of a new book in and then, after you get interested, they tell give you the download information. Pretty sneaky, but very effective!

mmm...not a big King fan myself. I tend to go more for the history/biography type books

There's always got to be 'those people' in the neighborhood. There are some pretty strict homeowners associations here that keep everyone in check. Its sad that there has to be a committee to remind people to water and mow their grass.

Welp.... Im off to clean out my truck. Anyone know what a 1st gen driver seat weighs? Hopefully I can manage to get the thing out (and back in) on my own....

Be careful with the seat bolts, I broke one on each seat when I replaced them on my first gen. They were rusted in there pretty good. I had to drill them out and re-tap. Seats are not that heavy, you should be OK.

    Stephen King is AWESOME!!!
    Me. :)
I had the first Nook, not color. My sister has the new color Kindle. I loved my Nook. I just bought an iPad 1 when the iPad 2's came out at a very cheap price and I now use that as a reader. They are all awesome. I used to always buy hard back books because I love to read. But I now have 100's of books and not enough book shelves for them. And the nice thing too about readers is you can have it display in a larger font. :anonymous:

:eek::eek: Reading isn't for everyone. It sometimes make me sleepy. I love my iPad. I couldn't justify the price for the new one when they cut the price in half on the old ones. You can use it as a reader for your wee ones. They have really cool interactive children's stories that look awesome on the iPad.

Hi Dave. I haven't read the Dark Tower, but my sister has and said it's good. I've read alot of his books though. He's awesome. He is one of the reasons I am deathly afraid of clowns now. Poltergeist and John Wayne Gacy helped with that too. :anonymous:
:D I wear very low power reading glasses. +1.00. I borderline need them. But I noticed I don't get a head ache when I use them. That's why the adjustable font is nice. :D

 I used to read all kinds of books. When I was a kid if it had an animal in it, or nancy drew, hardy boys, whatever mom and dad were reading. I usually had a book close by.

They're prescription and I can read, but it's just not the same as without glasses... maybe I need to get more used to them :notsure:

Yeah, it's not really the same. You do have to get used to them. :( But I have no problem with the larger font on my iPad. I love it. And it's like you're reading a real book. You swipe to turn the pages LOL And the Nook and Kindle have come along nicely too. They all get wifi now I believe, and you can surf the web. I don't even use my Nook anymore. :anonymous: Although, if I go to sit outside the original Nook is the best one because the glare doesn't matter since it isn't a fancy color screen. I never thought I would have converted to digital reading, but when I got sick and had surgery over the holidays, it became my best friend. :D
    I know!!!! It's so cool.
