    white tail deer now, but with that 300 win mag i could hunt any mammal in the US dont think the 300 aac will do that tho

    yea my oldest brother has one, pretty sure the 300 aac wont have that problem as the velocity of it vs the win mag is around 2k less
    .270 is a great round which is what the 6.8 is, alot of guys us it on pigs too

    People use those for deer just fine. I prefer to be over gunned when hunting, as I feel it gives me a little more margine of error with my shot. I had a hunt years ago, in which the animal took multiple hits, and ran. It died, but I like to be able to drop them where they are. I feel a harder hitting round gives me the ability that if Im off a couple inches, the shot will still be imediatly incapacitating.

    223 is illegal to deer hunt in va too, that whole margin of error is why i think they have that law

    And I agree that its too small for Deer, but I have friends that use it very effectivley against them. I dont have that much faith in my accuracy inder hnting conditions. Although I have done 4" groups at 1000 feet, I have also missed a 900# target at 150 yards....
