    Last year, my broken water line lost 175,000 gallons of water under my house. THAT should be enough to feed these little grass seedlings for a while. PLUS....I sprinkeled them with the hose.

    I'm pretty sure you have to water it regularly under normal conditions. In the desert, those seeds probably have to be swimming.
