Yea, the technology was brand new 13ish years ago, 8 years ago all the equipment was procured, sat in storage till we installed them and still haven't ran ours. But about a year ago, this model has started blowing up all over the world, I think about 6-7 of them have gone. All after varying years of usage.

Yet another reason I'm planning to leave.. everything here was cheaped out on, and pending dumb luck, this place has a good chance of killing someone within the next 10 years.

Fly away bag is my bag that has a week of clothes in it, both military and civilian. Has extra soap and shampoo and all that stuff. Its for emergency trips. An MRE is a Meal Ready to Eat. They aren't great but they are a few thousand calories for the whole bag. You should check them out, great survival item. They have everything for you to eat.

I've heard some of the recent changes regarding AHS, I hear they are making lives a living hell

 

It's fucked dude. Essentially now to get full time you have to be a casual for years and get yanked around station to station, because all the full timers are just switching spots back and forth for a change of scenery. Because they have more "experience and seniority" even a 6 year EMT like me can't score a full time spot.

I hate shit like that, I'M more freaking competent then some of the 25 yr f'ing vets around here. and I have to deal with the same stuff. Get a lot of shit jobs because of it. A month ago I actually lost it on a 56 year guy I work with cause I had 4 jobs on the go and he was doing f*ck all. Our boss gave him a small bitch task, and he tried to pass it over to me. I told him to "Quit being f*cking useless and to do his f*cking job" and walked away.
