any pros/cons to using those lower shock mounts? might do something like that to get the shocks exactly where i want them so i have more room in the bed to build bins to put shit in

I dont think there are any cons. They do lower the mount (instead of being on top of the axle) so it allows your bed cage to drop quite a bit. I would assume they also help with axle wrap because they have so much leverage when the axle tries to twist

I may do that lol. Are they out at Brandons with your truck? If I go by tomorrow I might switch. The weight would help a lot. I think I just need to ake them out and get some negative arch in them :)

I am pretty happy with the shock mounts, it got my bedcage below the bed rails. I have the templates if you want them

Hmm on second thought I dont have a way to lock them and dont want to get them stolen, that would be bad

    Right on

Looks like the shackle might be rubbing the frame a tad when flexed out :notsure:

Yeah they are on both sides, the tire is too. I need some wheel spacers. The upper hangers are the bushing kit from Ruff Stuff and they are kinda soft. But they were only $16 each, they have a zirk, and they dont squeak lol

Oh, can you gusset/strengthen them in some way?

    That's always a plus

Just a random thought, but my tire was 1/16" from the frame so that wasnt keeping it from flexing more. But if I did have a wheel spacer, and it moves the wheel out, wouldnt it have a little more leverage and flex a little more?

The hanger is .250 wall so its not moving. Its the rubber inside thats letting the bolt sleeve twist sideways in the tube. Ill def get harder (delrin?) ones when I switch them out, but I only want hard ones on the shackle hanger, not in the spring

It shouldn't flex any more (very slight if it does), but the distance/wheel travel will increase (in the flexing respect) slightly from the longer distance due to the wheel spacer, if that makes sense :notsure:

My plans for weight will help though. I am going to stitch weld a 1/4" plate under the tire, so the tire basicly sits flat on it, then Im going to put a receiver hitch under the whole carrier and gusset the crap out of that. It should give me an extra 50-60 lbs back there and if its ever too much I can cut the plate back out since its not structural, just tacked in for weight ballast :p
