Rebuilt the Honda

Motor out of the bike, found the piston skirt cracked in two places, front of the piston worn/almost broken and the cylinder cracked in between the exhaust port. Crank bearings have too much play, crank seals leaking and water pump seal has been leaking coolant into the lower end. Reeds are chipped, exhaust port leaking, exhaust pipe bent and does not seal. New piston, new cylinder, new crank balanced by Crankworks, all new lower end bearings, new reeds, OEM exhaust pipe on CL, complete gasket kit, and some other misc orings and seals





Engine out and cleaning things while I wait for parts







OEM pipe cleaned and ready, not sure if I'll paint it or not





Had a few parts come in the mail...

Bike looks tits dude! Did you paint the rims?

 

Yeah they looked like crap, decided I would try painting before buying new ones and see if I like it

 

What paint did you use? Looks good from the pics

 

Thank you sir, I'd have to look at the can its spray paint from Oreillys that is supposed to look like red anodized. The finish came out better than I expected because the old ones were so scratched and chipped, but have to see how long it holds up

 

if it holds up i may paint my rims with it or some parts

 

Hey JD is this the same Proportioning Valve? Will work the same as yours? I already checked out the link you have in your build but they are out of stock.

I believe that is the same one. I bought one from sdhq and returned after I figured I couldn't use it with the shitty abs.

Haha no, I cut it out of the video but I have them pulling me to the side to warn me his wife was out riding on the quad. It was actually pretty cool of them, asked how far down she was and he said not too far so we just went real slow until we passed her
