Same here, I have had them forever and decided I might as well put them in. I'm happy with the lights, they are a small pattern but shoot super far. The ones I bought look pretty much identical to the red ring kragen ones as long as they are spot beam

He mounted off his engine cage I'm pretty sure.

There is a hole in the core support that lines up perfect, just had to drill it out a little bigger, I'll get a pic

Works really good so far. Only issue I found is the body of the actuator is grounded. So the way the with works to reverse the motor it was blowing a fuse when I tried to put it down. Took me forever to figure out that was the problem, but I tested with a smaller bolt wrapped in electrical tape and it works. I just need to mount the lower portion with a poly nut and washers so its non conductive. Other than that it works really good, very happy with it

Is it the holes where the rubber stoppers for the hood go? That's where I was thinking of putting mine.

No mine are just inside the rubber part. Should be two holes, one big and one small. I used the larger of the two

Still haven't put the top hoop on yet :( hopefully soon. And it goes reeeeally slow going up and down, but that is good because I can actually move it very slightly to aim up and down right where I want it

I think 2.75", I would have to measure. I know its at least the wide version of king misalignments plus at least a 1/2" on each side, you can see I cut spacers out of 1" tube to space it a little more the the misalignments. And even then the top of the mounts are round/thin because it was still hitting at gnarticulation
