    Where are they located? You are getting me excited!
    I tried welding for the first time a few days ago. Did ok since this stuff is galvanized. I am going to practice one more time and then hopefully start. I have finals next week so I cannot start until after that. But then it's on!!!

    they have locations in san bernardino and ontario.


    They have a fab shop in ontario so you can make dawings of stuff you want made like custom brackets to be bent to certain specs and they can do it. Slider mount plates, gussets, etc.

    i have to go down the mountain tomorrow. working in orange. I want to go sometime this week because i need to make something for my spare tire to mount on the top of the cap. maybe a roof basket. something to mount the highlift and shovel rather than flying around in the bed. and a full size spare wont fit under my truck(i dont think)

    I can talk to Ninorth and maybe we can go to his house one weekend and work on stuff. ive got the chop saw, welder, work bench, and pretty much all the tools needed setup and ready to rock!

    you using MIG or flux core wire?

    Bending .065 is really easy with the foot bender I used .095 for a big truck and it was a bear. I just like the way 1" looks on the truck but 3/4" would be lighter and just as strong.

    another tip is to get flux core "spray" it keeps the splatter down and keeps it clean looking... almost like welding with gas

    Do you just spray the area your going to weld first and then weld?

    WELDING GALVANIZED PRODUCES ZINC-OXIDE FUMES!!!!

    Unless you have a full face welding hood, or you want a new cancer named after you, welding galv is ill advised...


    People get paid a lot of money to do this professionally, because there is more to it then meets the eye.

    I'm an electrician. Don't use conduit for welding. Especially emt. If you must I'd use imc or rigid.
    But regular steel tubing is better to weld with.
