    I decided today that the Wrangler needed a roof rack for this trip.. so, I bought tubing and other misc steel and Mike and I commenced construction on the official Rug Road overcab Jeep cargo system. Should be done tomorrow morning, pics to follow :D I'm on call this weekend so stuck at home anyway :ballchain:

    Well if you make your rack anchor points near the bed rails, it should be able to support a decent amount of weight.

    If the rack is built with a big enough surface area at supports making contact with the cover then it won't be a problem. Also, adding more supports (than the usual four, one at each corner) will help as well.

    Ahh, this is just for supplies. My wrangler is obviously very limited on cargo space and I needed this for some extra stuff I'm bringing. However, there is a good chance that there will be a stripper pole mounted on it at camp :D
