Great description! Sounds like it's going to be a great time. I have only fished once and that was to get the fishing merit badge in scouts 15 years ago, so I will need some help with that. I never even caught a fish when I was getting the badge. My wife has a pole, so I can use her's.

 

are you going to teach me to fly fish? i tried two weeks ago and finally got my first bite with it.

 

Did you get your mouth with the lure instead of a fish?

 

we can give'r a try. I'll bring both my fly poles, but Big lake isn't the best place to learn as it's usually pretty windy there. But on Saturday we could take a drive to either the east or west fork of the Black river and give it a shot there

I will help out. We will get you a fish! Oh and forgot to say hopefully we will have germs boat fixed so that should be out there aswell.

 

When i was up there the other day guys were fly fishing off of a pontoon boat. Looked like they caught 3-4

 

does anyone want a k&n for the 4.0 for 25$? i bought it back when but moved on a really really dusty dirt road so i decided against it (from what i read they dont filter very well after a bit of miles so i plan on sticking to the OEM) i can bring it to the campout if anyone's interested.

Stefen I may be wrong but I think Ralphie is headed up on Friday, not Thursday.

I'm heading up Thursday, but won't be able to jam outta Tucson till 1530 - 1600. Going to make a pit stop before the Salt River Canyon & check out a sweet 120+ ft waterfall I know of

 

Yeah, it's Friday for this guy , but I think I'm going to try to get Friday off instead of getting out early since it's like a 6 hour drive. Am I safe to bring twist tops this time? I don't think shiberbock makes pop tops.

Yeah you will be good with twist tops. As long as you dont drive like a maniac. Most of the roads up are paved untile the last 2 -4 miles to the camp site. And thats just a grated dirt road.
