High centered on 3' of front driveshaft may have put some side load on the output shaft. SNAPPED a few obstacles later. Check internals once I drop the cases and decide between another of several stock shafts I have access to or chromo 30 spline.

 

Seems pretty legit to me.

Yeah his rears were shot, and he can't afford aftermarket right now, so we combined two sets of stock springs into one. Basically they're 3" lift springs built from two stock packs.

 

Sounds interesting.

Truck rides great! Slightly stiffer than original but should definitely be able to hold more tongue weight while towing.

Nice! And yeah after market are not cheap. I went a couple weeks of starving and eating top roman to afford mine. But thats a great idea with two sets of stock leafs!

 

I could do that if i was to get a second set. Maybe Nipples will give me his.

 

Honestly, if I could get ahold of a few sets I'd start building them of anyone's interested or wants a set. It took Derrick and I less than an hour to put them together. Brian get nipples to give you his and it's an easy 3 inches.

The best part is it only cost around $35, just had to purchase new center leaf studs and longer u-bolts. Also have the part # for the generic Autozone/Pepboys u-bolts for stock replacements; 13-0160A.

 

That's a pretty cool idea Andrew, I'll see if I still have my old leaf pack lying around and bring it if you want it for future leaf pack builds
