Welcome to the awesomeness of this thread. Rug Road is in the middle of November. At this point the 4wd group is full, but there are plenty of back penetration and 2wd spots available. We would love for you to come. I have done the 2wd way, and it's a good drive.

Also note that the 4x4 group may be full now but the week of it will cut in half.

As for the other part of your question - quote the list and add your name into the slot you want, then post. If u really want to do the 4×4 then post it on the 4× reserve list and on the 2× list and if a spot opens up in the 4× list the reserve list moves up in order. And like Brian said, the 2wd way is a beautiful drive so its definitely still worth the trip.

The wheeling was awesome on the 4x4 trail and I recommend that anyone wanting to challenge themselves and their rigs do it at least once. Seriously beautiful trail and it just gets better by the time you hit the shelfs and rock climbs near the end and the final descent into the canyon.

Unfortunately im out of PTO holidays for the rest of the year and minimal sick time available. So most likely, im not going this time.

If youre planning to do the 4x4, expect a long day. I left my house at 430am to pick up Brandon and we didnt even start the trail until 10. It was after 6pm when we rolled into camp.

I may not be doing the 4x4 route since I'll be driving down from Flagstaff. Unless I stay at someones place the day before and work out of their house.
