    Hello friends,
I have a 2004, 3.4L - 311K miles. When idling at a red light, it sometimes lurches or jerks slightly. This happens once and is usually within the first min or two of idling. Doesn’t do it again.
No other issues with anything as far as I can tell. Just did a compression test, all good. Cleaned the throttle body, new spark plugs, new air filter. Any ideas of what this could be? Thanks in advance!

Assuming no check engine light?. Mine would do this and it ended up being the Throttle Position Sensor.

Nope, no check engine light. Throttle position sensor makes a lot of and that l you. Did you just replace yours?

Yes, I have replaced it twice in 24 years. It would do this for a while and then eventually it would throw a code.

Sorry, meant to say “that makes a lot of sense and thank you.” I’ll replace it, much appreciated.

When you replaced it, did you have any problems with a high or low idle? I had a huge surge and then when I readjusted a low idle.I had to adjust mine just right before I tightened the screws all the way down.

Yes, it had a very high idle this last time. Since the mechanic replaced it , it's been good.
