He wouldn't (or couldn't) say why. I was more focused on the repairs they were doing to my truck.

Yes, as others have said it's probably not your dealer's fault. They are just going by what dealerdaily is telling them and the estimated dates are what they're giving you. If there is a holdup in transit the estimated dates will be changed. This is the most likely situation.

I doubt they're holding your truck hostage. It does no good to have the truck sit on the lot they'd rather have their money

I knew 310 trucks were recalled due to airbag bolts. But a stop sale?

Don't paint everyone with the same brush, unless you have met and know everyone in the category. It would be more appropriate to maybe say, "MANY" car dealers, or something along those lines but not ALL. If every single one of something was horrible, it would just cease to be able to continue.

ps. Yes I do work in the industry, and you can choose to believe what you like based on your personal experiences, but I have more than enough testimonials to prove not everyone of a type is the same.

I beg to differ. I believe you can paint most car salesmen with the same brush. This does not only apply to car salesmen but sales people in general. All they want to do is sale you what ever and make their money. Most sales people dont really care about the customer. They figure like this if there is no more money to be made off of you then there is no need to bother with you.

EVERY car salesman that I'VE had to deal with seem to think they are doing u a favor buy ALLOWING u to be lucky enuff to purchase a car from them....like u should name ur first born after them! I admit that I've not dealt with EVERY car salesman, BUT I feel like I have a good understanding of the profession considering that I've purchased 16 new vehicles in 4 different states...I'M SURE their are very nice professional car salesmen out there...I've just NEVER met one YET!

My dad was in the car business for about 30 years. He started on a gravel lot as a used car salesman and worked his way up to GM of a Ford and Chevy Dealer then eventually part owner of a Ford Dealership. There are all types of personalities out there just like any other job. The car dealer is demonized because they are trying to make a living off of the customer who is trying to make a deal. Believe me plenty of car dealers have just as much bad stuff to say about all of the whack job customers they have to deal with countless times per day. You get to deal with the salesman once every so often when you actually buy a vehicle. Consider the sales staff who have to deal with countless know-it-all jerks, idiots, financial incompetents, stroke jobs, tire kickers, etc just to make a few measly bucks. It is certainly a career choice and likely a very high stress one at that. Just remember, there are two perspectives here. People are people.
