Oh nice! I hope they don't have any issues with mine, but the distance from the railcar to the dealership is like 10miles. So... hoping not!

I got the TRD sport 4x2 DC SB in blue...but I had to drive about 80 miles on the interstate so I wasn't able to keep it at the "sweet spot" 35-45 mph...but tomorrow i'll take it on the local hwy and I should b able to drive that speed to check on that sound...A few things I noticed on my 1.5 hr drive home on the interstate...Its much quieter and drives much smoother than my 2nd gen (2006 Prerunner DC SB 4x2) eats pot holes...but I couldn't believe how fast it goes thru the first 3 gears...A blink of a eye and those are long behind you! But I'm going to spit shine it in the morning and take some pics and see if it makes that noise when I take it on the hwy...fingers crossed that I won't have the same problem...but I do hope u get urs figured out SOON!

Thanks! Patience has never been a strong point of mine...especially after watching it sit in a rail yard for 7 days and NEVER move!
But the Toyota customer service person was very helpful and said that it was "strange" for a vehicle to sit that long and not move, but the next morning I received a call back from her saying that she had contacted the person in charge of my areas shipping and they had called the train yard and told them that my truck had to b on the next truck south...So I honestly don't think it would have gotten here anytime soon if I didn't light a fire under their asses...

I am not sure about nationally. I know the Portland region can get a little behind.

From what I understand, Invoice is not necessarily the price the dealership paid for the vehicle. It's the price the dealership needs to sell for to break even. Anything over invoice is profit for the dealership. So if you think about it, $200 profit off a $35,000 vehicle is less than 1% profit. As a consumer, that's DAMN good

Congrats Bajaguy! I like the quicksand. My wife doesn't and said if she has one veto it's that color. Anyway, enjoy. I just got a call from the dealer telling me now it is scheduled for the 20th. I don't even know what the actual fuck that means! I am beyond pissed. That means it will be sitting almost a month, since it has been in the same spot since like the 24th.

Was this Toyota customer service person from your dealer or corporate? Can you share their contact info? My build date was 10/29 and I have heard nothing from anyone yet. Dealer daily still shows build date of 10/29. I want to talk to someone who can give me some updated info. Thanks!
