plasti-dipped, and it has held up perfectly through a 6 month -35c manitoba winter and quite a few powerful touchless carwashes.
it snaps off very easily from the inside. simple job.

threw on a bull bar a little while ago, i like the look, i think it gives it a little bit of a meaner look.

I like it without the bullbar and steps. I finally got my 5100's for my 2012 trd dcab an getting ready to put them on soon i want to do 1.75 setting. So how many miles have you put on yours with it set that way by now? ive been following your posts. No vibes once again ?

i have about 13000 kms (8000 miles) on my set-up (5100s @ 1.75" and 1" blocks in the back) and so far have not had any issues what so ever. i have heard of others having vibrations with the same set-up though. i think it also depends on having a short or long box. i have been really happy with it though.

I like your bull bar, can't seem to find one like it though, on ones with a skid plate looking part on the lower portion, while yours is open. Where did ya get it from? BTW, really like the look, black on white looks sick.

Hey there - love the truck! I am a fellow Winnipeger that has just bought a Tacoma. I am looking at adding the same tires that you have. Can they be put on without a lift or will I run into problems?

Secondly, do you have any recommendations on a good place to find tires and wheels?

    Thanks!

hey thanks! the bull bar is "hunter" i bought it off a tw member though so im not sure where you would get one. i think they're are cheaper then most but i thought the quality was fine. looked great when i sanded it and sprayed spray in bedliner on it.

    thanks.

you should not have any problems with that size tire and not lift. i had them on my stock rims and they looked great. i did my 5100's at the same time though but there was tons of room in there so im pretty sure you'll be fine. i got mine tires at fountain tire but they were really expensive there. maybe try tirerack.com or mrwheeldeal.com, might end up cheaper even with shipping or maybe you know someone across the boarder. i used mrwheeldeal.com for my rims and got my MKW M19's for $500 including lugs and shippnig to my bro's in north dakota. it you do wheels and tires he'll even mount and balance before shipping. get a quote from him, you might be surprised on how much you save.
