where did you get those gauges?

 

yeah, i had rough country on another truck. pro comp is better IMO.

 

lotek gauge pod. and gauges came from Summit

 

i saw on your wish list that you wanna upgrade to toytec coilovers, any reason?

 

my friend has a set, they ride excellent!

 

that's good, i've been lookin at those. i'll just save up for the coilovers instead of the procomp then.

 

this build has been slow lately, just havent felt like doing anything to the truck. However, things are about to change, i am buying a 84 toyota pickup 4x4 this week, and it will be time to build that. Ill post pics once i get it to the house

 

What do you plan to do to the '84?

 

nothing crazy because i plan to drive it as well. but probably going with a 3" suspension lift, 33" duratrac's, 15" steelies, hi-steer, 4.88 gears and locker, and probably a few small things like paint, bed line, etc.

This is going to be a very interesting summer... now matt needs a trailer big enough to haul 3 yotas so we can hit some distant parks, like harlan!

 

i did some reading, if i mess with the cases, it will be twins instead of 4.7's. but a lot needs to happen before i get close to those projects

 

I have not committed to it yet but I would like to go. I am going to get very busy at work soon so I will just have to see what happens. I am hoping to atleast get hi-steer and a new rear suspension set up on the 4 runner before spring, then eventually TG front springs, full armor, gears/lockers, and dual cases with 4.7's in the rear

 

Do you think you will at least have all this done before Memorial Day? This things going to be dirty!

Yea I know. I will most likely be there seeing as my boss is my Dad so it isn't too hard to get time off. I am excited to get on the trails this summer.

 

Well i am pretty content with my truck (for now) and i think its too nice to scratch up off road, so I found a happy medium, i purchased an 84 pickup. here are some pictures:

 

i like the way that lift looks, really has a nice stance
! i was thinking aboutt doing the same one but was told that the springs do not seat well, did you have that problem at all?
