Spring nuts need modding to fit. The spring nut grooves don't align real well with the bed rail, causing them to tilt.
The t slot linked earlier is a little deep and requires removing bed rail screws to clear as they are slid in.
I have access to free spring nuts at work too; I prefer/buy the t slot nut.

Not to :threadjacked:.... But does anyone know about the cargo divider? I don't have one, but could really use one for stuff at work, but they're pretty pricey and I'd hate to buy one and then have it jacked out of my truck. Do they have locks for them?

Are there rear bumpers with swingout and jerry can holder ?

The NATO cans seem to be about $80

Yeah, most manufacturers offer jerry can options as either a separate swingout, or on the main/tire swingout.

PS. Not sure where you found a van for $80. Down by the river? ;)

    Fixed the spelling

Any recommendation on a rear bumper swingout for a 2017?

Honestly, I haven't looked into them all that much because none of them work with BSM (well, C4 has one that does, but I'm not crazy about the looks of that one).

    I'd want these requirements:

    - BSM support (or get over it and accept not having the feature going forward)
    - dual swingouts (single swingout will be a pain in the ass in tight spaces/parking lots)
    - non-high-clearance (ie. no cutting of sheet metal - I've read about tons of people regretting doing that due to developing cracks and such)
    - integrated hitch receiver under a flip-up plate (nets you a good couple inches of clearance)
    - vertically-mounted license plate (to satisfy laws/regulations)
    - license plate lights (and preferably ability to use OEM ones instead of some flimsly LED strip, but that's not a must)
    - ability to use as a hi-lift jack point
    - dual jerry can mounts on one swingout, tire on the other; hi-lift mount to taste
    - backup camera relocation kit
    - clean lines that match the OEM body panels
    - optional flip-down table from one of the swingouts

I'd love to have the swing out but in daily driving it would be problematic with parking etc. And then you lose back up cam

    Hah.

There's a local shop, Cruisin Off Road, that was building bumpers which met all of the above requirements (for 2nd gens - no BSM). And way more affordable than anything in the US (after conversion rate). Unfortunately they got out of the bumper building aspect of fabrication in the last few months.

I'm fairly sure I've seen other (US-based) fabricators offer bumpers with all of the above options (minus BSM), too.

Not if you buy proper ones and replace the seals every 3-4 years. Nato/Scepter/Crown Auto (I have the latter) don't leak. And if they're on the exterior, even if they do leak once in a blue moon, it's not a big deal.

The 3 Wedco cans I have never have leaked.

I can't speak for the NATO ones as I don't have experience with them

Haven't seen any but mind you haven't really looked beside threads on here with them.

It's bad enough parking the truck as it is in the tiny spots as it is. Adding swing out will be worse.

Fuck I'm just scared after lift I won't fit in any parking garage or underground anymore. All the cheap ones near by are like 6' 4" sone even less

Why not just use the plastic ones? Haven't had problems with them and a hell of a lot cheaper

The "cheap" plastic ones do leak. And the material is thin so it's much more likely to puncture. And anything CARB approved will leak when pouring. And if you go up to a high elevation, plastic containers will balloon and make themselves a pain in the ass to use.

The only plastic containers I'd consider are made by Scepter. They'll still balloon, but are otherwise high quality stuff. Tough to find in the US due to regulations, but they're becoming easier to get in. A local store happens to sell them and does ship to the US. I'll almost certainly grab a few of their water variants in the next few weeks.

I've got some off road plastic ones from Canadian tire. No issues in the years I've used them. Maybe for BC it's different then.

I think a CPS sensor would be far more useful than extra fuel for these trucks :crapstorm::rofl:
