SO im seeing this tuner that allows me to adjust the ECU on my truck... My question to you guys is is it worth it? Allows these "JET" people make some ECU performance enhancements. Are They worth it? (the money that is) I can fin these thing off eBay for relatively low amounts of money...

There's been some similar products that say "gain 60hp and 5-7 mpg" and those are crap. I'll assume these are the same

theres a dyno sheet online for the 2.7 and it gained under 10 peak hp and im assuming thats with the 91oct tune. I could not find anything on the 3.4 though. I was toying with the idea of getting one because i couldnt find anyone else thats used one on these trucks. It does have a few dandy features like being able to correct speedo and the various monitoring screens. If it can change timing at all then after having a knock sensor code and fixing it then it should gain a few hp no problem.

Yeah I saw a tundra with a bully dog tuner and a 93 Oct tune that had a peak HP additive of 90+ with the tune sadly the year models for that tuner start at 05 for tacomas

Most people recommend the urd MAF calibrator. Over these tuners

i emailed them yesterday and this was the reply.

    Hello Devin,
You will get 4+ HP and 6+ FPT with the V-Force.
    Thank you,
-JET Performance Over $300 for 4hp. i guess thats why theres so little tuner options for these trucks

Not to mention that gain is at WOT and high rpm. How often do you run your truck under those conditions?

yep, these trucks pretty much are what they are and there isn't anything you can do to boost the power in any meaning full way

all you do buying a tuner for them is waste money, if you want more power adding a super charger is about the only way

Best way to get horsepower boost with the 3.4s is supercharger
