Hello all, this is my first post on the forum… I just purchased a 2021 Tacoma SR, 4x4 Double Cab… Let the fun begin turning this “work truck” into a decent looking rig. After searching countless hours through the Tacoma World Form, I believe the set up I will be working for is a 3” suspension lift on 285/70r17.

**Stock Picture of my truck before upgrades included**

    SUSPENSION:
I have opted for Ironman 4x4’s Foam Cell Pro stage 2 set-up. I actually ordered this lift before I purchased my truck. I was able to pull the trigger during their 25% off sale - out the door $2,100.

**Image and link to the suspension below, but this suspension includes the following:**
    - Front Coil Springs
    - Rear Leaf Springs
    - Foam Cell Coilover Struts
    - Rear Shock Absorbers
    - Pro Forged Front UCAs

    https://ironman4x4america.com/foam-cell-pro-suspension-kit-suited-for-2005-toyota-tacoma-stage-2/

    Wheels:
I really like the look of these Alloy Ion Style 171. Looking to bring a classic wheel to a modern truck – if anyone is running these, please share!

    Wheel Specs: 17x9 (0 offset) (5 backspacing)

    https://www.customwheeloffset.com/b...sion=Leveling+Kit&bolt_patterns=6x5.5,6x139.7

    Tires:
I’m between BFGoodrich KO2s / Falken WildPeak AT3W / Toyo Tires Open Country. If anyone has recommendations here – or any insights, greatly appreciated.

    Questions:
I am not looking to get a CMC at this time. My research has led me to believe that these wheel specs / lift size and the aftermarket UCAs will prevent any rub at full crank. If anyone is running a 285/70r17 setup with 3” of lift with wheel specs 17x9 0offset 5backspacing, please let me know how things are working out for you.

Lastly – I will update this form as I make progress to the truck. I've included a rendering of a tacoma with the build I am after as well.

Hi! I just bought the exact same lift as you. I ordered a 21 Limited so I’ll have stock 18” wheels with 0 offset. I’m thinking about getting 16” wheels for wheeling so I’ll have the sidewall…and not screw up the nightshade wheels. My buddy runs the wild peaks and loves them on his 4runner with the stage 2 Ironman lift. Following this thread to see what you find out as I would rather not cut anything just yet on a brand new truck…lol

Check out this thread. It's a '21 running the 3" ironman lift.

I opted for the same specs as this build. Just ordered mickey thompson ATZ P3 tires and the Mickey Thompson classic wheels. Coincidentally, I think he is also running the ATZ p3s.

Only concern I had with a 16" wheel would be the wheel weights on the back getting knocked off by brake caliper. Also a lot more tire options with a 17". I'll keep the thread open as I progress and I'm hoping for no major cutting & really not looking to chop the frame

Dropped the truck off today for a full ceramic tint & was able to compare some 33" wheels next to the stock. Definitely will help fill the wheel wells after lifting 3 inches. Stand alone, these 33s look huge, but next to the truck they're just right.

Front Suspension components came in today, just waiting on wheels & tires for installation. Pretty massive components vs the OEM

I've had mine sitting in the garage for a couple weeks now waiting for the truck to arrive. I tuck it in every night... No doubt very beefy!

I might've pulled the trigger 2 days ago on the Carven Exhaust - whoops! Probably an impulse buy, but hoping that YouTube reviews don't bite me in the ass haha!

My buddy & I installed the ironman lift today. Took about 4 hours. Wheels and tires getting installed Thursday. Feel accomplished & happy to have things coming together.

The install was pretty straight forward, it was nice to learn about the suspension a bit, and local shops quoted me $1700 for installation. So it was nice to save some $$

No update? I just got a 2022 TRD Off Road and was hoping to get some 285/70R17's on a 3" Ironman as well. Any trimming needed?

Everything worked out great! I have not done the Cab mount chop yet, and don’t believe I will have to. There is very little rub, only when reverse at a hard angle.

I didn’t do any trimming at all either. Have also added some extras since - a soft topper, carven exhaust & mud flaps
