The switch didnt return to center after you pushed it to in or out, it just snapped there and stayed. Not exactly how you want a winch controller to operate lol. But it was broken beyond that too because it wasn't sending the right signals to the control box.

Motor was bad and has since been replaced with a motor that worked. I tested with Matt's controller and the winch itself is working properly now, but my controller was also jacked (see above). They sent me a replacement controller and cable but I just haven't taken the time to hook the winch up to the truck and test it out yet because there's a bunch of shit in my garage from Christmas.

Matt or Everett can tell you what you need to know about the grease issue with 'em.

    More winches the better.

That 3 day blitz through DBBB that is rumored.....? That should be winch mandatory. Winch's/lockers beat tires/$hocks/light$/RTT when you're entire plan revolves around "keep moving".

I'm hoping it goes off at a time that will include me. (Fall?) If not, we may just have to organize our own trip.

So far it's still in "concept stage". Who joins in has a lot to do with me going or not. This would be a difficult trip with anything less than good drivers in well equipped rigs. Looking at 30+ miles a day average.

    WORKING comms.

Winch for at least 75% or more of the trucks involved.

    Driver mod.

    33"s

    Someone with 1st aid training.

    Chain saw (s)

A detailed list of gear/parts, divided amongst all trucks.

Trick would be avoiding long, unnecessary stops/breakdowns/stuck trucks....

Gotta keep moving to average that kind of distance per day
