Have owned Tacoma's since before there were Tacoma's (started about 1976 with what was called a Hilux). Just sold off my 1999 TRD for a similar new 2019 TRD Sport Access Cab with 6-speed manual tranny & long bed. Pretty nice except too much front end plastic & too much electronics for me (I'm an analog soul trapped in a digital world). The old one only had 63000mi, but had some substantial off-road under-carriage damage. I'm a 78-yr old retired geologist & use the Tacomas for backpacking access & off-road truck camping ... in CO (home state), UT, WY & NM.

Now: Can someone tell me how to remove the Access Cab's rear head rests short of cutting the support rods? One tread on Tacoma World was for an earlier model and too confusing for me to follow even with holding my laptop while looking at the rear set set-up. I don't ever carry rear
passengers & the rests block substantial rear-looking visibility even when collapsed forward (where they take up a bunch of storage space).

    Welcome!

The bases of the headrests should bolt in under the plastic seat back. Take that trim off and you will see how to remove it.
