Hi All, I finally got my system in my truck last night. But I'm having two major issues.

#1 I'm getting no bass from my sub box.
#2 I can't get the JL Audio Tun software to detect my fix 86.

    Components:
    Front Speakers: Focal ISS 165
    Rear Speakers: Focal RCX 165
    Subs: 2x JL Audio 10TW1 4ohm
    Amp: JL Audio HD 5/900
OEM Integration: JL Audio Fix 86
    Headunit: Stock Entune Premium

I made my own T harness using metra adapters and speedwire and that's going from the HU to the Fix86. On the F86 I'm running Front speakers on channels 1/2 and rear speakers on 5/6. From the F86 I have 3 sets of component cables running out to the amp and then speaker wire from the amp to the door speakers/subs.

After plugging it all in and checking the power was right. I inserted the calibration CD and calibrated the Fix 86, got the green successful lights. At this point, I was able to play music Front/Rear/Tweeters no problem and control them with the DRC 200, but I was getting nothing from the subs. ( I checked the sub knob on the DRC 200, checked all plugs, and used a battery on the speaker cables to make sure the subs moved) so I decided to plug into the Fix86 with a laptop over USB but I can't get the Tun Software to detect the Fix86, the PC can I can see it in device manager. But the software only runs in simulation mode.

So I'm hoping to get some ideas/help on why the channel summing is not working for my subs and connecting the Fix86 via USB. I feel like I'm just missing something stupid.

I’m thinking you don’t have sub output because you don’t have sub input. Probably by default the Fix will pass through each input to a corresponding out, and you only mentioned having four inputs. I’ve never played with a Fix so I can’t tell you how to correct that, especially with no PC connectivity. I haven’t had any issues connecting to my TuN device, I’m on Windows 10.

Maybe JL CS can help you out on that one.

Reading the manual, I don’t see a reason the sub doesn’t work other than this.

So I took the whole system apart and put it back together and now the sub works, even wired the same way it was before. Still can't get the Fix 86 connected to my laptop though. I think it's time to call JL support.
