I found a deal on the older model box that has two 10's. Will it work in a 2015 double cab? I realize I may have some trimming. Thanks

It should. Define "older model". If you're referring to a 2014, then yes. It should fit.

The Tacoma models for the JL Stealthbox, per their site, is '05-'11 w/ two 10W1v3-4 and '12-up with a single 10TW3-D4. I'm guessing he's talking about '05-'11 model.

OP, might also be easier to just swap the storage bins out with the ones that fit. Check the marketplace here.

Yes the box I found is for two 10's but is listed for 05-11. I have a 2015. I was wondering if the plastic bins are interchangeable. I don't mind trimming just thought it would look better if I could swap out a plastic bin from an older model truck. If so are the plastic bins all the same color or did they make different colors? Where besides used can you find these for sale? Guy wants 500 bucks for the two 10's and stealth box. He also has a JL XD600 for 200 bucks. Really don't need it but the stock radio sucks.

What do your storage bins look like there seems to be two different ones and I am looking for the ones that the single JL box will fit in.

    I have this style.http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=318788&stc=1&d=1427032733

Get that amp, OP. That's an ok good deal for that amp, assuming it is in good shape. They are $310 new.

Course, your going to need to upgrade the rest of you system to keep up with all this bass.

Your link does not work, but I assume I have the newest bins as it is a brand new 2015. Yeah I am still looking at it, he has not sold it or the box yet.

By the time we paid shipping on these it wouldn't be worth it. I am going to go look at mine now.

I dont understand why people don't just remove these instead of trying to find something to fit inside of it...

    Different strokes for different folks.

I went with a JL 10TW3 in a Mr. Marv box similar to this one. Good cost, great workmanship, excellent sound, and wife approved :D.

I came very close to getting the JL Audio Stealthbox for my 2015. It looks extremely clean and is customized to fit in the storage bins behind the seat. I ultimately decided not to because it's a terrible value considering you're paying $700 and getting only one $250 sub.

As far as boxes go, you really only have four choices unless you go custom- the JL Audio Stealthbox with the sub, the single 10" (pfhh), the dual 10", or the lesser known about triple 10".

When it comes to the speakers your choices are pretty limited by the fact that you only have a little more than 5" of mounting depth, 6" flat if you get the upgrade, and you only have around .65 to .75 cubic ft. of air space per sub. Go through the ones that meet these specs and pick the whichever model you like.

Then you just have to get whatever amp meets your sub specs. You'll also have to get a line out converter/sound processor if you plan on keeping your factory head unit and will probably want to get a remote bass control as well. This way you can cut down the bass on your door speakers and turn up the treble to bring them up to snuff with your subwoofer system.

I recently ordered my whole setup and am getting a professional to put it in next week. Components ran me right at $700, installation is gonna cost me another $150. Links to everything I got are below.

You're getting all of that installed for $150? You either have a good friend in the car stereo profession or you need to watch the fuck out for cheap, shoddy stereo installation practices.

Those alpines are too deep. I got the system in last week. If I have the volume turned up full blast and the bass turned up 1/2-3/4 of the way it sounds incredible. Past that the bass starts drowning out the factory speakers, along with every other noise within 100 yds. I couldn't be happier.

Alpine still has a hard time with fitment. I got the correct storage bins for the 10" single and when the stealth box arrived test fit showed it was 1/4" too tall no way to make it fit. The box looked great but it went straight back and I put in the call to Mr Marv should have gone that way in the first place. Lesson learned he is great to deal with and can help you with what will fit and what won't. Just my 2 cents

Does anyone know the volume of the 12and up stealthbox? The recommended volume for the sub is .5 cu ft for a sealed box and .6 for a ported box. Im thinking about getting rid of the stealthbox and getting a custom ported box if theres enough room behind the seats.

I already took the plastic out because it was vibrating. But the main reason I was asking if anyone knows the JL box volume is because I think its below the recomended volume for the sub. At least thats what Im telling myself to motivate me to get a knew box.
