looking forward to your review Jerry. Im looking for something just a touch stiffer than oem. obviously my trucks not charged and geared so that may be a bit much for mine....

I'll let you guys know what I think of it. I got it all bolted back up today the ultra black on the T case is setting up over night so the first drive will be tomorrow. I will tell you this the clutch peddle feels near stock maybe a little stiffer. I have a new master, slave and SS line so that could change it a little as well i would think.

I have to brake it in for about 500 to 750 miles so it will be taken easy for the first week or so.

Too bad I've got a new OEM flywheel sitting in the garage waiting for install. I'd be interested in trying out that heavy flywheel. Going to check in to see how it rates.

Jerry I also just installed the same clutch you did about a month ago. I previously had the heavy-duty marlin clutch. I will tell you at this clutch grabs 100 times better than the Marling clutch does. I love this clutch way more than the marlin. Way more expensive but definitely worth it.

The engine, tranny, and transfer case all just connect via splined shafts and are bolted together? I have oil dumping from the rear main seal on my 82 and have never pulled a tranny or clutch before. Trying to get an idea of how hard it will be to drop it all. I also just have a floor jack so I'm wondering if you had any advice on how to get it on the floor and not on my face. Thanks!

no splines on the back of the engine the flywheel just bolts to it and the splines are only in the clutch and the trans. And it was not bad at all it took a long time but I was fabbing shit on the frame that couldn't get to before so I knocked it out with the trans out. It took me 3 hours to pull everything and the hole next day to have it all back in but I did lots of other little things to the truck that made it take more time.

That doesn't sound too bad. Did you drop it all with a regular floor jack? Getting it down safely is the part I'm worried about.

I made a cradle that bolts to my floor jack out of scrap tube took about 10 min to do and it was super stable.

Dropping a transmission with a regular floor jack is a pain and easy enough to have it fall. Definitely take the time to build a cradle like JLee did or get a transmission jack.
